Some trees are naturally beautiful. Some are big, some are lush, some are old.
And sometimes, you get a lot of qualities rolled into one.
Angel Oak, Charleston, SC
This angel oak tree in Charleston, South Carolina, is so old and heavy it needs help keeping itself up.
If you look closely, there are posts, beams and wires holding its limbs in place.
Sometimes an aristocrat well-advanced in years may, regardless of his nobility and royal lineage, require a cane.
Who can bear to see such majesty fall?

There’s a similar tree in Wilmington, NC. I’ll have to see if I can dig up some photos of that one, too!
Kind of creepy, isn’t it? I don’t want to see that at night.
There’s a big old tree near where I live called the Comfort Maple. It is spooky when seen in moonlight. Spoiler Alert: It is one of my upcoming Awe-Inspiring Trees! ๐

What a wonderful oak tree. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a tree quite like that before. We’ve qot a few old oak trees around us, but none quite like that.
Yeah, it’s something, isn’t it? ๐
Lovely tree! There is certainly some kind of dreamy magic in Charleston much like this tree. It must have something to do with its laid back ambience and how the people preserved the are’s natural beauty.
Coupled with its beautiful beaches, lovely scenery, and great restaurants, Charleston is definitely a good place to live in. Looking for Homes for Sale in Charleston SC is a wise idea.
